GTWCEU - Round 3 : Zandvoort

AF Corse – Francorchamps Motors experienced a weekend of mixed fortunes at the Zandvoort round of the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup, with both of its Pro-class entries, Car 50 and Car 51, facing significant setbacks.

In Race 1, Car 50, driven by Arthur Leclerc and Thomas Neubauer, managed to secure a top-ten overall finish, coming in ninth, and placed eighth in the Pro class. However, the promising start didn’t carry over into Race 2. After just six laps, the duo were forced to retire, cutting their weekend short.

Meanwhile, Car 51, shared by official Ferrari drivers Alessio Rovera and Vincent Abril, encountered even more misfortune. Their Race 1 campaign ended prematurely due to a collision, forcing a retirement. Despite rejoining the grid for Race 2, they could only manage 14th overall and eighth in class, unable to fully recover from the earlier setback.

The team now shifts its focus to the next round of the championship, the Endurance Cup event at Monza, set for 30 May to 1 June. After a difficult weekend in the Netherlands, AF Corse – Francorchamps Motors will be eager to bounce back on home soil.
